Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Well, it finally happened! After months of background checks, endless paperwork, and every single one of our life details analyzed and scrutinized, I was able to pick up our bundle of joy on Tuesday - our finalized home study!

So on Wednesday, we went to FedEx and carefully wrapped up our shiny, completed home study and other documentation, our hopes, and probably a bit of our sanity, and sent it off to our adoption agency’s headquarters and to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

This home study that’s been our personal Mount Everest for the last several months is finally over, and I feel like Nelson deserves at least three medals for trudging through, putting up with my occasional indifference toward paperwork, and paying attention to the details.

And now we wait for a match! This could take anywhere from a few months to a couple years. It's frustrating to not have an exact timeline but I'm looking forward to just resting, knowing God's timeline for us is perfect.
